This approximately 462,000 sq m logistics complex, including ancillary facilities and the necessary infrastructure, was designed to measure for Mercedes-Benz by the developer CTP Invest. The car maker’s plan was to set up a “Mercedes-Benz Aftersales Logistics Centre” here. The complex was going to be a hub (i.e. a central warehouse and aftersales logistics centre) for its worldwide network. Besides serving as a goods warehouse, it was also meant to a global logistics management centre. The centre was also to keep a stock of parts for which the prioritisation of sales was not a key factor, e.g. strategic stocks of spare parts for discontinued models.
The OM Consulting team provided the client with project management and cost management services. The project was terminated at the pre- construction phase.
